Who I am
Hi, I’m Amanda, founder of Zoom Out Coaching LLC.
I started Zoom Out Coaching fresh out of high school at 17 years old, during the Spring of 2024. While I may be young, my age doesn’t define my expertise- I’ve spent more than 5 years immersing myself in the fitness and nutrition industry. As someone who’s extremely type A, I’ve dedicated countless hours to researching, studying, and applying what I’ve learned. My persistence and obsession for learning have shown me that knowledge isn’t just power- it’s the foundation of doing things right.
One of my favorite books is So Good They Can’t Ignore You by Cal Newport. He emphasizes that instead of just following your passion, you should work hard to become valuable. This resonates with me as a coach. I believe in putting in the effort, mastering my skills, and sharing my knowledge to help others overcome their limiting beliefs. Many people think, “I can’t stick to a healthy routine” or “I don’t enjoy exercise.” But the truth is, these are just stories we tell ourselves, and they can be changed. Through coaching, I help clients challenge these beliefs, build confidence, and create lasting habits that fit their lives.
Growing up, I was always active—soccer, gymnastics, dance, tennis—but in middle school, I began struggling with body image and my relationship with food. Back then, “health” meant eating less and burning calories, not nourishing myself. During quarantine, I ditched endless cardio for weightlifting, inspired by my dad. For the first time, I felt strong and energized after workouts, not drained.
As I progressed, I realized nutrition was the missing piece. This sparked my curiosity, leading me to become a certified nutrition coach (NASM) and personal trainer (ACE). Along the way, I learned that fitness and eating well aren’t about looking a certain way—they’re about appreciating what your body can do.
Here’s what I’ve been able to accomplish so far through nutrition and exercise:
I continue to deepen my expertise by:
- Completing a women’s holistic nutrition course through UC San Diego’s Integrative Nutrition Center (2024)
- Studying Nutrition and Human Performance at the University of Arizona, with minors in Psychology and Weight-Inclusive Health (current)
- Working as a personal trainer at my campus recreation center (current)
I started Zoom Out Coaching to cut through the noise of fitness and nutrition misinformation. I know how overwhelming it can feel, and I’m here to make health simple, energizing, and empowering.
Fitness and nutrition aren’t about perfection—they’re about feeling good. My mission is to help you feel strong, confident, and free from frustration. Let’s focus on progress, not perfection, because YOU ARE WORTH IT!
My journey has taught me that knowledge is power—and I’m here to help you rewrite your story, too.
